Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, founder of the Castelbajac house, was born in 1949 in Casablanca. He entered the world of fashion very early and created his first collection in 1968 for Ko and Co, the company created by his mother Jeanne-Blanche de Castelbajac. The designer began collaborating with Iceberg and MaxMara, as well as the famous group Sex Pistols for their concert at Chalet du Lac. Successful exhibitions were held at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York (K-Way exhibition) and at MAK in Vienna (Anti Körper exhibition). In 2001, the designer entered the world of perfumery with his first perfume, Doudou, receiving an award for his design. In the same year, collaboration began with Rossignol and Le Coq Sportif.
